An outstanding and very adaptable variety that will reliably produce a good crop of delicious densely packed heads whatever the weather throws at it! Recommended for deep freezing. (Calabrese variety) Calabrese produces a large central head which should be cut and eaten.

Delicious, smaller shoots (Broccoli Spears) will follow from each leaf joint.

These should be cut with about15cm (6") of stem.

Sow 1.8cm (¾") deep on a prepared seed bed April-May.

Plant out in final positions, 60cm (2') apart June-July.

Harvest July to November. Can use the seed as 'sprouting seed' - indications that antioxidants are at their highest in sprouts.
